This is my pick of the litter. Amazing on every level- quality,
appeal, performance and cool factor! The detail is meticulous
throughout. The function is just as impressive. It runs strong,
shifts smooth and drives straight. The light over the key even
works.
EXTERIOR: Gorgeous color, great stance, outstanding fit and
finishes. The body is laser beam straight. I did not find a dent,
bubble or problem anywhere in the body. The gaps are precise, doors
shut like a new car. The scooped hood is fiberglass and fits real
well but not perfectly. Repainted it's original B7 blue. The paint
is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like glass. The
chrome and trim sparkles like jewelry. Every piece of stainless is
polished like chrome. All the chrome looks new from the bumpers,
mirrors, vent window frames to the fender mounted turn signals,
taillight bezels and antenna. The grill and tail panel look brand
new. New gaskets, weatherstrips and window seals. Painted rims with
new poverty caps and BFG tires. The rear rims are extra wide with a
fatter tire.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is also amazing. The white interior pops
against the blue. All new reproduction upholstery, headrests and
door panels. Everything fits right too. The headliner, visors and
mirror are new. There's nice fitting carpet on the floor with
carpeted mats. The best part is the 4-speed sticking out of the
floor. All new correct Hurst bench seat shifter, wood grain knob,
chrome bezel and boot. The dash has been completely restored. New
dash pad, chrome bezels, heater control panel, lenses, gauges,
deluxe steering wheel, glovebox liner. If you look under the dash
everything is new looking too. The AM radio works and even kooks
new. There is a big Sport Comp tachometer below the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Detailed, ready for show. Restored to factory
specs. Also ready for go, there is a 440 6-pack stuffed in there!
It's a 1971 440 and on top is a factory style aluminum intake with
the 3 6-pack carbs. It was dyno tuned- 360 hp and 451 lbs of torque
at the rear wheel which is about 25% higher at the motor. It has
correct air cleaner and valve covers, upgraded coated headers. The
reproduction plug wires are dated. Restored Mopar radiator, new
shroud, fan and even reproduction hoses, clamps and cap. They paid
up for an actual reproduction Mopar battery, it's all bolted down
properly and has new cables. New wiring harness, horns are hooked
up, factory electronic ignition. Concourse restored wiper motor,
squirters are hooked up. The engine bay is real clean metal painted
gloss blue, fender tag is attached. Every part is like new. It has
optional power steering.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is immaculate and complete. All mint metal
painted gloss blue. The wheel wells are tubbed for the wide wheels,
it looks like it was born that way. New weatherstrip, mat, wiring
and seat insulation. Restored full size spare under the mat.
Restored jack assembly. The trunk light even works.
UNDERSIDE: This was flipped on a rotisserie so the bottom is just
as beautiful as the top. All the components were removed and
restored. The floors are all clean, rust free metal painted glossy
B7 blue. It has big welded in frame rails to prevent body twist.
All the steering and suspension components are completely rebuilt.
New shocks, springs and bushings. Front and rear sway bars.
Completely restored brake system. New brake lines, disc conversion
in front, e-brake cables are hooked up. Great sounding dual exhaust
system. New fuel system including the tank, straps lines and
sending unit. Looking up at the motor it is spotless. The starter
looks new, oil pan was made bigger for extra oil. The 4-speed
trans, shift linkage and clutch were restored. 8 3/4 rear end with
3.23 gears.
I look at thousands of cars every year, I am telling you this one
is exceptional. The fit, finishes and functionality all seem to be
superior. Plus the fact the car is bad ass! It is exciting to get
behind the wheel of this one.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
