1943 International M-2-4 One Ton Truck
This International M-2-4 one ton truck was built for and purchased by the United States Marine Corps during World War II in 1943. The truck was shipped overseas where it and it's Marine driver saw action in the Pacific Theater. When the war ending and American Troops shipped home, so did many of the vehicles and heavy equipment used in the War.
One particular Marine, having been through the war with a particular International truck at his command, wanted to have that same truck to enjoy and use in peacetime. In 1946, this Marine found the specific truck that served him well in the Pacific Theater and acquired it for his own and it provided him many years of enjoyment.
Years later, the current owner acquired the M-2-4 and completed a frame-off restoration of the truck. It run's and drives very well and maintains much of the same look, feel and functionality from when it first served America in her time of need. Presented at auction, this is your chance to own a piece of motoring history that served it's purpose in WWII.
