1963 Ford Thunderbird
Why This Car Is Special
You don't come across the early 60s Thunderbirds very often, much
less one in as nice of a color combination as this example. The
museum quality restored 1963 Thunderbird we have here at Adventure
Classics sports an all-white exterior including the top with a
bright red interior.
The third generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury
car produced by Ford for the 1961 to 1963 model years. It featured
new and much sleeker styling than the second generation models and
ours is powered by a 390 cubic inch engine and automatic
transmission.
Engine & Drivetrain
Ours is powered by A 390 cubic inch 4-barrel engine and automatic
transmission. The 390 engine looks just as it did from the factory
with its silver painted factory intake and valve covers, factory
cast iron exhaust headers, power steering and brakes, period
correct decals, and even the FOMOCO windshield washer bag on the
fender of the clean, detailed and painted engine compartment.
Even the undercarriage is left stock and is very clean. It runs
great and has a good sound. These cars are big and heavy and the
great suspension make you feel as if you're riding on a cloud.
Interior
It has a quality restored red bucket seats interior with a
wrap-around center console that provides storage, an armrest and
looks fantastic, a futuristic feeling cockpit with all the correct
gauges and controls, matching red rear seats and door panels, air
conditioning, power windows, powers seats, and red carpet and floor
mats.
This interior of our 1963 T-Bird is simply stunning, nicely
appointed, and feels classy and stylish.
Exterior
Our 1963 has an equally stunning white paint scheme on it including
the top. It features laser straight body panels and seams with
brilliant trim and chrome front and rear bumpers, Thunderbird
emblems, rear wheel covers, and chrome exhaust tips
.
It rides on wire wheels with tri-bar spinners and thin white wall
tires to carry that classy vibe to the exterior of this third
generation Thunderbird.
These were known for there bullet-like appearance and great
lines.
