brochure headline Offered here is a sleek 1966 Barracuda (one of
38,029 manufactured) in light-blue-metallic over black. Its VIN
documents a (B) Barracuda), (P) Sport, (29) 2-Door Sport Hardtop,
(D) 273-cubic inch engine, (6) 1966, (2) built in the Hamtramck
plant. This Barracuda's sleek body is finished in light blue
metallic paint. Overall refreshed-paint quality is good with
excellent gloss. Chrome bumpers are in great condition; chrome body
trim-including the design element on the rear deck, door handles,
window trim, mirror caps, twin grilles, and headlight trim-has been
nicely kept. Glass, including the expansive rear window, is in
excellent condition, clear and undamaged; lighting lenses across
the car are similarly well kept. Plymouth badging-rendered in
individual letters front and rear, and script on the front
fenders-remains in place. Other badging includes the front and rear
Barracuda fish emblems, Barracuda-script and V Eight front- fender
badges, and 340 S rear emblem. Cragar chrome, 5-spoke, mag-style,
14-inch wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A 265/70
raised-white-letter tires. Inside, black vinyl upholstery with a
horizontal pattern covers the front bucket and foldable rear bench,
seating-surface condition is excellent throughout. Refreshed cabin
carpeting is black and continues through the cargo area under the
rear glass (the same carpeting graces the separate rear trunk
compartment). Door trim incorporates black vinyl which matches the
seats as well as a script Barracuda emblem; windows are
crank-operated. The car's black steering wheel with three-quarter
chrome horn ring frames the comprehensive analog instrument
cluster. Included are the original 120-mph speedometer and odometer
as well as replacement gauges for fuel, coolant temperature, oil
pressure, and battery-charging status. A Sun Pro tachometer is also
mounted below the dash. A Kenwood audio head unit has been
installed in the factory radio location (with twin speakers mounted
behind the rear seat). Factory air-conditioning vents are mounted
below the dash. The automatic-transmission shifter is located on
the chrome-trimmed center console. Under the hood, the car's
replacement 340-cubic-inch, 4-barrel V8 wears red engine-block
paint, Mopar-Performance-branded, black, finned, cast valve-covers,
and a red air cleaner cover with proper engine-identification
decal. The engine bay is clean, complete, and well-organized.
Viewed from below, the Barracuda's chassis is undamaged and
complete. Visual focal points include the clean lower-engine
surfaces, chrome oil pan, and full-length dual-exhaust system with
chrome oval tips. The Barracuda's original factory identification
and build tags remain mounted. Maintenance records and
