Vehicle Description
With its awesome factory color combo, its numbers-matching V8, and
an overall detailed classic style, this 1972 Chevrolet Corvette
Convertible has distinction and power in an irresistible
wind-in-your-hair vintage package.
The trim tag tells us this is wearing its factory-correct Sunflower
Yellow. We like this color because it was only offered for a couple
of years, and it was one of the rarest of 1972. Plus, there was a
quality respray later in life, and so the bold color has a bright
presence that can be a standout in a crowd. Adding to the gleam is
a nice look on the Rally wheels, rockers, and stylish chrome
bumpers. So this convertible looks radiant on sunny Sunday drives.
This is a car that's made to be a driver, and so that means it's
meant to be out on the streets being seen. That's why we like the
extra touches of style in this one. You see it everywhere from the
addition of the rear luggage rack to the way the clean black roof
gives a tasteful contrast to the bright yellow.
Because the black roof looks so good against the yellow exterior,
you'll be quite happy to see there's a black interior underneath.
It looks good with nice carpeting, clean door panels, and the
high-back bucket seats upgraded to leather. The classic Delco AM/FM
radio still gives you good driving tunes. Plus, this appears to be
a factory A/C convertible (it was converted to R134a refrigerant,
but it will need servicing to blow cold again.) The three-spoke
sports steering wheel, power steering, a tilt column, full
auxiliary gauge package, and large speedo and tach are all part of
a great driver's package. So you know it's terrific for drop-top
enjoyment.
The engine is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. It has an
overall stock style, and the whole of the engine bay has a tidiness
- right down hoses and belts. The V8 inhales deeply from the
four-barrel carburetor, and the dual exhaust exhales with a nice
power tune. The TH400 three-speed automatic is an ideal pairing
because it's a stout unit that also shifts smoothly. Plus, you have
a fully independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and wide BF
Goodrich T/A tires. It all makes for a peppy classic that's easy to
enjoy.
This is the crisp, distinct, and clean Corvette you've been looking
for. So don't let this drop-top Stingray slip away, call today!
