SURVIVOR! All numbers matching a collectors dream.
SURVIVOR 1971 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum is a force to be
reckoned with on the road. MOPAR's legendary 440 V8 factory rated
at well over 350 HP! Paired with a 727 TorqueFlite 3-Speed
automatic. Considered by many as the best performance three speed
automatic ever built. The '71 was the very last of the true
high-performance muscle car breed. The R/T is worthy of serious
attention.
The third-generation model was introduced in 1971 and featured a
new split grill, and a "coke body fuselage" body style manufactured
by Dodge (USA) in United States. Displacement: 7210cc/440.0 cu
in./7.2 L with a Bore 4.30in/110 mm Stroke: 3.8 in/95 mm
Compression: 9.7:1 making Power: 370BHP (272.32 KW) @ 4800 RPM
Dodge would accelerate 0-60 mph in 6.2 sec, 0-100 km/h in 6.6 sec,
0-200 km/h in 31.7 sec and quarter mile time is 14.5 sec. The sure
grip rear end has the stock 3.23 gears. This makes for a great
highway driver.
The original black vinyl interior looks like new. High back bucket
seats and center console with a factory Slap Stick shifter (ratchet
shifter). Setting aside this is from '71 the genuine stock dash is
free of any cracks that alone is amazing! The 150 MPH speedometer
lets one know this bad boy was made to run! All the gauge lenses
are clean and clear. The black faces and white numbers are easy to
read. The wood grain dash is solid and free of any imperfections.
The door panels are in astounding condition. The new black carpet
gives that extra pop!
The body has received one repaint in 1997 otherwise this is an
unmolested numbers matching survivor. This very rare 440 R/T is an
outstanding collector's investment. To find one in such great
original condition is a true rarity.
