Vehicle Description
This 1995 Chevrolet S-10 SS is part of one of the coolest
traditions in small trucks. Chevy made sure it earned its Super
Sport badging by installing the largest motor they had in the
lightest configuration. They also upgraded the look and driving
characteristics for an all-around attractive cruiser. That's why
it's great to find a well-optioned driver-quality example for such
an affordable price.
This generation S-10 has a terrific smooth style with
well-integrated fender flares, a streamlined front end, and a flush
rear roll pan. So it seems like a popular choice for a factory SS
upgrade. But actually, only a handful of the annual production was
ever upgraded to Super Sport status during its few years of
availability. So it also makes for an interesting sight on the
classic truck scene, and these are certainly noticeable. Chevy gave
it Camaro-style red badging, a color-matched grille, and dual
exhaust tips. This example was even upgraded to Vision Legend
Series wheels that have the cool competition-style gray look.
There's a nice gloss on the Summit White paint. But this is an
actual miles truck, and so if you were looking for perfection, then
you'll be using the value price to budget for updating and
upgrading some details inside and out. Where the real heart of the
appeal here is how it's a distinct and sporty truck that you'll
really enjoy driving. There's even liner paint in the bed for real
pickup duty.
The interior continues the full package that was made for real
drivers. That's why the classic bench seat has a fold-down armrest
and bucket-like seatbacks for rear individual comfort. You may
update some of the older stock details, but many of your essentials
remain in nice good condition everywhere from the cloth upholstery
to the full gauges with tach. You also have power windows, a driver
airbag, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need
servicing to blow cold again.) The radio has been upgraded to an
AM/FM touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and Kicker
subwoofers.
The 4.3-liter fuel-injected V6 was the largest motor offered across
the full S-10 line, so it's great to have it in the smallest and
lightest configuration. The Vortec motor has an ideal legacy of
being a hardy powerhouse with some nice torque behind it. With a
four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, power steering,
power brakes, and front discs, this is built for an easy driver for
trips near and far.
This is the cool SS tribute pickup with a truly useful style. So
