90. This Defender is powered by the desirable 300TDi turbo diesel
engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission and is showing
151,000 miles. It was recently imported from the UK where it had a
current MOT and is now titled in Georgia.
This example, while not a restored or show quality truck, is solid,
attractive and features a number of practical upgrades. It is
finished in Portofino Red over grey cloth and vinyl interior. It
has been upgraded with a roof rack and ladder, light bar, side
steps, rock sliders, snorkel, heavy duty hitch, LED headlights and
a winch on a tubular front bumper. The dash has been upgraded to a
modern style and it features power windows, a pioneer head unit,
power inverter and on board air compressor. 16-inch steel wheels
are wearing Kumho Mud Terrain tires with a matching spare mounted
on the swing away carrier.
The 300TDi runs smoothly and makes ample power; service records
indicate that it had a valve job, head gasket and driveshafts in
