GKM.com) Motor Trend described the Escalade ESV's interior charms:
The interior includes redesigned seats, a new instrument panel and
center console that features Cadillac's CUE telematics system on an
8-inch color screen. The configurable instrument cluster will be
displayed on a 12.3-inch high definition screen. The front row will
include 1.4 inches more headroom and 4 more inches of legroom.
Additionally, the second and third rows will fold flat to allow for
better cargo management. 'An exceptional level of craftsmanship has
gone into the redesign of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, and it all
centers on the premium materials and extensive use of cut-and-sew
live stitching - the way fine furniture is produced, said Eric
Clough, director of interior design.... If the Escalade ESV is the
Cadillac of Cadillacs and rates a 10, the 2015 Escalade ESV Premium
offered here-tastefully modified and significantly up-powered here
to more than double the V8's stock horsepower-in Raven Black-over
Jet Black (with Jet Black accents) takes it up to 11. The SUV's
odometer shows 69.569 miles, fewer than 10,000 miles per-year on
average, and its comprehensive Carfax service-history and excellent
overall current condition indicate consistent pride and commitment
on the part of prior owners. The exterior paint finish shows
virtually as-new: deep reflectivity, smooth-as-glass, and superb
gloss results in an all-black-design statement not to be ignored.
There is no hint of a ding, dent, or any other damage on any
sheet-metal panel; bumper covers show no impact damage. (To best
assess the quality of the paint and trim finishes, please be sure
to view the close-up photographs of the SUV in the accompanying
gallery.) Exterior features include a race-inspired splitter below
the front bumper; quad, matte-black, rear-center exhaust outlets;
power-retractable, full-length, entry-assist steps; and dark-tinted
headlight lenses. Dark-tinted cabin glass and all lighting lenses
are free of blemishes. Factory badging is tastefully limited to
monochromatic, low-sheen, metal-finish Cadillac crest emblems front
and rear, and matching Escalade emblems on the front-door trim.
Smoked-platinum, 10-spoke, Dub® 24-inch wheels are mounted with
290/35 Nitto® 420S directional tires. Inside, the charms of the
commodious cabin are almost endless. Premium leather in
black-and-charcoal gray covers the seating surfaces in all three
rows: power front high-back buckets with armrests, second-row
buckets with armrests, and power-folding third-row 60-40
split-bench. (Second and third-row seats fold flat for an ample,
carpeted cargo space.) Black door panels are leather trimmed with
accenting wood inserts. (Please view the close-up photography in
the gallery to assess the superb condition of the Escalade's
various interior surfaces.) Cabin carpeting is black with
diamond-stitched, quilted floor-protection mats in brown. The gray
headliner hosts entertainment screens for the two passenger rows.
The tinted sunroof is controlled with dashboard buttons. A
multifunction, 3-spoke, wood-trimmed, black steering wheel with
full-color Cadillac-crest center emblem frames the matching
wood-trimmed dashboard with projected analog instruments including
a 160-mph speedometer. An auxiliary e-boost2® Turbosmart gauge
