Vehicle Description
1965 Pontiac GTO Clone. Car has clean NH title (title says GTO).
Previous owner had car 20 years, had it registered with old
registration as a GTO. Never did PHS so am calling it a clone. Car
has 1968 Pontiac Firebird 350 2-speed power glide, 2 barrel carb.
Car has minor transmission leak - could be coming from pan (not bad
- doesn't affect how car runs and drives). Motor runs good and car
shifts fine. Car started life as triple black. Good working power
top and power windows (rear only) (front were changed to crank
windows), power steering. Top is fairly new. Paint is 20 years old
but still looks very good. Car was professionally painted - front
fenders, hood, deck lid and doors were taken off. Couple bubbles
here and there. Some mud on lower rear quarters. Car needs some
trunk work, but not bad. Frame is very good (never been patched).
Floor boards also very good. Couple of small patches, probably 2'
by 2'. Car has non-original floor shifter and console. Front
buckets and back seats are original black, excellent condition, no
rips. All 4 door cards are new. One rear arm rest is green - needs
to be painted black. Car just had front end alignment. Dash is very
nice. Regular gauges. No tac, but has clock. Previous owner
relocated the rear power window switches under the dash because he
had kids. Second switch under dash is for the power top. Heater and
defrost work good - previous owner replaced heater core. All lights
work good. Wipers work. New parts installed: 4 new tires, 4 new
rims, all 4 ball joints, new front coil springs and shocks, both
lower A-frames brand new, new upper A-frame bushings installed, all
new rubber brake lines, all new wheel cylinders, master cylinder,
mostly all new brake lines, new brake shoes on back with new spring
kit, new calipers in front, new rotors (manual disc brakes), brand
new gas tank and fuel line, new fuel filter, new starter, new
alternator, fairly new battery, new HI ignition, new wires and
plugs.
