Vehicle Description
This 2007 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 is a loaded and low-mileage modern
classic that delivers upgraded infotainment, a luxury A/C
experience, and plenty of space for everyone. Of course, the real
attraction here is this is a Hemi-powered dark-heart grocery-getter
direct from the best Mopar muscle minds of the modern era.
We all know V8 wagons make for awesome muscle car classics, but
it's almost hard to call the Magnum a wagon. The tapered roofline
really made these into long fastback machines. And there are
terrific sports car details, because after all, SRT stands for
Street and Racing Technology. This has a crosshair grille,
aggressively flared wheel arches, and bright dual exhaust tips
peeking out from all this darkness. In fact, it's important to pay
attention to the level of detail this one goes to deliver its level
of midnight. This includes the clear headlights with black
backgrounds, the black roof rack, deeply tinted windows, and black
SRT 20-inch wheels. And the paint is a special color called
Brilliant Black Crystal. So you get plenty of dark attitude, but in
the sunlight, the metallic can't help but pop to give this added
flair. This shows all the right signs of being the original
application. It still makes a quality impression, because this is a
car that has been well-respected and has averaged under 3,400 miles
annually. And like any good future classic, this has rarity. The
production numbers were quite low. This was a package only offered
for three years, and it's believed only about 920 were produced in
2007. So this one is assured to be a rare treat at just about any
car even for decades to come.
Inside is a loaded and versatile machine. It utilizes Chrysler's
platform for full-size cars, and so you get room for adults in the
back. The seats are the special SRT units with leather and
suede-like inserts. They all have excellent bolstering, and the red
contrast stitching is a nice aggressive touch. And there's plenty
of room in the rear for plenty of cargo - ideal for everything from
tailgating to a golf weekend. But even if you're just driving solo,
you'll enjoy this Dodge. The front seats are power adjustable. The
sports steering wheel, tilt column, and white-faced SRT gauges
remind you that this is a driver's car. It's loaded with all the
right features, including a power sunroof, power windows, power
locks, keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags, side airbags, cup
holders, cruise control, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The
stereo has now been upgraded to the later Mopar Uconnect AM/FM/CD
infotainment system that includes Bluetooth.
Under the hood is what makes this Magnum such a great modern
classic. As the top-dog model, this has the fuel-injected 6.1-liter
Hemi V8. It looks fresh, clean, and correct, which is exactly how
you want a modern collectible. This was rated at 425 horsepower
right from the factory. Plus, there are nice additions like the
Corsa cold air intake, an oil catch can, and an updated dual
exhaust. This V8 loves to fire up with a great muscle car sound out
of the dual pipes. But the real desire is what a modern car can do
with all this power. The five-speed automatic transmission gives it
the right gearing to be both a fast mover and an overdrive cruiser.
You also get a fully independent suspension for good handling, and
Brembo four-wheel power disc brakes with ABS. Plus, the grippy
ZR-rated tires are new (the rear Pirelli P-Zeros have barely ever
seen the pavement.)
