A luxury coupe that offers more than the mere illusion of high performance -
The BMW 6 Series from the E24 branch. Sharknose? Check. The still beautiful kidneys? Check. Rear-wheel drive, a big 6-pit and manual transmission? Check. And then the elongated coupé line with many a bad boy shouting 'what you gonna do'. In 1976, the first E24 was born in Munich. All the first models were born as 630 CS and 633 CSi. It wasn't until 1983 that BMW put the icing on the cake and the legendary M1 engine found its way into the 6 Series. Thus the 635 CSI was born. The difference? 500 cc extra plopping power, 33 extra pedalling Bavarian horses and the i, which is synonymous with the most solid time from Bosch who took care of the injection.
In the end, the crookback coupe was made until almost the 1990s. This one has a catalytic converter, which slightly crashed the Bavarian symphony, but it still lets you into any city. And, if you don't know, you won't feel a thing! Das ist doch schön, oder?
And then ours; she is matching, she has had a complete technical overhaul, largely original paintwork, documented and now she is looking for it. To her new boss. Bis Bald.
