This is a beautiful looking 57, the colors pop! Real Bel Air
upgraded with a 4-speed, a tri-power and power disc brakes!
EXTERIOR: I think the color really stands out. Bright, cheery, very
1950s! Recently restored. The body is clean and straight without
issues. The paint has a high gloss finish. Jambs are nicely
painted. Just about every piece of chrome and trim is new. Look at
the front end sparkle. New grill, lenses, has chrome dagmar (the
pointy cones). The side trim is new including the Bel Air inserts
on the quarters. The stainless around the windows is polished, the
flippers above the doors work. The tail end sparkles just as good,
gas cap is hidden behind the trim. Has LED taillights. Has new gold
Vs front and back. Has optional door handle guards and dual
mirrors. The windshield and weather strips have been replaced.
Those big whitewalls are new radial tires, has spinner hubcaps.
Also included are a set of fender skirts. Painted to match, can be
easily installed if preferred.
INTERIOR: The interior has been restored pretty much stock except
for that 4- speed Hurst shifter on the floor and vintage style
Mooneyes tachometer on the column. That is a proper shifter for a
bench seat. The upholstery on the seats and door panels are
completely replaced in the original style. Good choice, the
original is really sharp looking, has chrome piping and buttons.
They also replaced the headliner and visors. New carpet and
reproduction floormats. The metal trim is all repainted. Has new
handles, window cranks, horn ring. Has oil and temp gauges neatly
mounted below the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's all painted up and polished. Has a nifty
looking set a tri power carbs with a vintage Edelbrock intake on
top of the 283 motor. Upgraded MSD ignition system. Sharp looking
finned aluminum valve covers. Also has chrome alternator, filler
neck, and gooseneck. Runs cool because of the upgraded aluminum
water pump, radiator and overflow bottle. New shroud. New power
brake upgrade setup with dual master. Has electric wipers. New
battery with a disconnect switch. It's certainly a hood you will be
proud to open.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely painted the body color. The bottom of
the trunk lid and the jamb are painted real slick. Hardware and
latches are detailed up. New correct rubber mat, new weatherstrip.
Has a brand new tire on a painted rim and the jack is restored.
UNDERSIDE: Overall solid underside that has been sprayed black. Has
a set of dual exhaust with Smithey glass pack mufflers for that old
school hot rod sound. New fuel system including the tank, straps
and sending unit. Bottom of the motor is clean, has screw on oil
canister. The 4-speed trans looks fresh. Brakes were redone,
upgraded to disc in front. Shocks have been replaced.
The 57 Chevy is arguably the most iconic car of all time. As
popular today as it was when new. This one is a beautiful example,
restored to to impress. Not to mention it will be fun to drive.
Shifting gears and opening up all three carbs. Thanks to the disc
brakes you will stop too!
