Vehicle Description
For most of us, the classic car world is about standing out with
some attitude, and it doesn't get more custom or unique than this.
After all, a 1950 Willys Jeepster is already going to draw a crowd,
but when it has been fully custom built with a fuel-injected V8,
five-speed transmission, upgraded suspension, a custom interior, a
removable hardtop, and much more, then you will always be the
coolest custom everywhere you go.
The handsome, upright body says Jeep as loudly as any CJ, and it's
a familiar face the world over. But this icon is also instantly
recognizable as a fully built classic. After all, the electric-like
blue paint gives this 70+ year-old design a healthy dose of modern
luster and shine. The gloss does a great job of highlighting the
smoothness in the steel body with the deleted bumpers, shaved door
handles, wraparound rear, and custom flush-fitting tonneau. There
are more great details, like the vibrant paint pinstriping, sports
mirrors, YJ-style headlights, teardrop tail lights, and
well-integrated side pipes. You even get the right touches of
classic in this modern build with the two-piece windshield and
iconic Cragar SS wheels.
The well-fitting hardtop looks good in place, but when you remove
it, you can really see how this was made to be a roadster. The sea
of blue continues inside, and the pink pinstripe even flows across
the smooth dash. Thoughtful builds like this are exceptionally
coordinated. So the custom seats, center console, dash, and even
steering wheel are all done in blue. And the inserts on the seat
match the carpet and door panels. Plus this was built to be a
driver's custom classic with details like the well-contoured bucket
seats, tilt steering column, and a round gauge package borrowed
from a 3rd gen Firebird. Even the custom trunk is quite spacious,
so you can enjoy this for a weekend road trip kind of car.
The engine bay has a nice custom style. It strikes the right
balance where it's right for a driver's car, and you can give all
the bright components a good polish when its car show time. The
intake is even painted in a coordinating blue. More than just
looking good, this was made to be a driver. You have a hardy 350
cubic-inch V8 with the benefit of fuel injection. It makes a nice
rumble as it feeds into the cherry bomb-style side exhaust. The
original Jeepsters had a solid front end, but this now benefits
from a Mustang II-style independent setup. There are also front
disc brakes, wide BF Goodrich T/As, and the control of a five-speed
manual transmission.
This is a truly cool cruiser with a true practical feel. So if
you're looking for that ideal distinct driver's custom classic,
