The A3 was facelifted in 2016 and the RS 3 followed in 2017. The
biggest difference is that the RS 3 was now also available as a
Limousine, which had been rumored for some time. After Audi already
presented the Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro Concept in 2014, an A3
Limousine with a 525 hp five-cylinder engine that showed striking
similarities with other Audi RS models, a production version of
this model was inevitable. The facelift model and the new RS 3
Limousine were equipped with a completely revised 2.5-liter
five-cylinder TFSI engine, which already found its way into the
second generation Audi TT RS. The block is 26 kg lighter than
before, while the power increased to 400 hp and the torque is now
480 Nm. This ensures that the sprint to 100 km/h is now two-tenths
shorter. The new RS look is carried through to the exterior, with a
grille with Quattro lettering at the bottom. There are new LED
headlights and a wider rear diffuser.
