1977 Lincoln 4-Door
Car History
When you look at the 1977 Lincoln Continental 4-door we have here
at Adventure Classics you have to love the look and size of these
car. These fifth generation Continentals are the longest cars ever
produced by Ford Motor Company.
This Lincoln Continental is a full-size luxury machine with an
instant presence and it has the big 460 cubic inch V8 engine under
the hood with the plush comfy A/C interior for a great
survivor-quality feeling.
Engine & Drivetrain
This Lincoln will take you down the road in comfort as it is
powered by a 460 cubic inch V8 engine that turns over easily and
runs strong and is backed by the stout C6 3-speed automatic
transmission.
The engine is painted in the correct shade of Ford blue on the
engine block, valve covers, and air cleaner assembly. It looks as
it did from the factory with power steering and brakes, air
conditioning, and everything that it came with from the assembly
plant back then.
It sits in the clean and factory stock engine compartment and the
exhaust note is subtle at low RPM but with a little throttle it has
a nice rumbly sound to it and the big V8 retains enough torque to
pull a boat with its tow package on the rear and has superior
stopping power of four-wheel disc power brakes.
Interior
Open the door and you'll see the kind of luxury that could only
come from Lincoln in 1977. Ours has a very plush grey pillow seat
interior that features twin bucket seats with armrest in the front
and a matching sofa like seat in the rear along with the instrument
cluster with all the factory gauges including the speedometer,
odometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge.
The seats are exceptionally nice with the pillow top design that's
just as comfy as it looks and it comes with premium items like a
power seat, power windows, power locks, cruise control, air
conditioning, and the AM/FM radio.
Exterior
The Town Car has a nice looking exterior color of silver grey with
styling features like the exposed headlights, vinyl landau top with
the porthole window, straight looking body panels,
razor-sharp fender creases, chrome accents, brightwork, big front
and rear chrome bumpers, and it rides on Lincoln hubcap equipped
wheels with thin white wall tires for a great ride and handling
cruiser for you to take on trips.
Conclusion
This 1977 Lincoln Continental 4-Door we have here at Adventure
Classics is probably one of the nicest Lincolns you will ever find.
It is superb looking and handling, looks great going down the road,
with only 44,373 actual miles on it too.
