Vehicle Description
1966 Mustang 289 A code Convertible DGC3819. VIN. 6R08A143819. V-8,
Automatic Trans, Power Steering, Deluxe Pony Interior. This Mustang
has been in the area for many years. The paint is very nice and the
body is solid. We just put it up on our lift and didn't find any
rust in the floorpans. The underside is original and nothing has
really been done with it. Emberglow is a factory color that you
don't see too often any more and I really like it. The white
convertible power top is in good condition. Has seatbelts front and
rear. The trunk is good and has a heavy duty floor mat. We
purchased this Mustang in Bellingham and drove it back to
Burlington and the car had no issues. In the process of getting it
serviced and safety checked they replaced the power steering pump.
Everything else was fine. From the records we got with the car and
what I saw on the underside, there shouldn't be much needing to be
done to this car. There was just $7k spent by the previous owners
on mechanical repairs and maintenance. The front end looked like it
had all new bushings and other steering parts looked new. The wheel
cylinders looked like they were just replaced too. We updated the
engine compartment by adding polished finned valve covers and cobra
finned air cleaner. We detailed and ceramic coated this Mustang and
it looks awesome. The body is really straight and the paint I don't
think there's a single scratch or chip in it. I believe the
interior is original but I know the carpets have been replaced
they're just like new. The heater and AM radio both work just fine.
Mustangs are great cars and this one should been great working
order for a long time with all the care it has had over the years.
I find it interesting that on the left drivers door is a photo of
an oil change in 2000 that shows the mileage of 93,653 miles and it
now has 96,265 miles. Only 3000 miles in the last 22 years. I have
personally driven this car about 70 miles so I know it runs and
drives great. Cond #2 +
