This beautiful 911 comes in the classic Guards Red color, which is all original from the factory, with the exception of the rear engine decklid. In the early 2000’s, the owner installed a factory 930 Turbo spoiler to give this 911 more of a cool factor. However, these fine cars look their best the way they came from the factory, so the wing was removed and the decklid was repainted. The overall condition of the exterior is quite nice, with the original patina being nicely preserved.
The Black Leather interior is original as well, with the exception of the radio unit, which was a common upgrade on these cars. The cabin is overall very clean. Both front seats are in nice condition. All the lights and gauges are fully functional, and everything operates as it should.
The performance of this 911 is spot on! The 3.2 motor pulls very strong and the G50 transmission engages correctly in each gear. A new clutch was installed roughly 10,000 miles ago. The brakes feel good and the car stops on demand.
The factory Fuchs wheels are in good shape, and are fitted with brand new Kumho Ecsta PA51 tires.
The car was sold new in Cairo, IL, and remained in the “Prairie State” until 1996. The car traveled to Kentucky next, where it remained with the same owner until April of this year.
In the past year, the 911 3.2 Carreras have gained in tremendous popularity and are rapidly climbing in price. Some of the finest examples are reaching the 6 digit price mark, which is quite astonishing but not surprising.
