Metallic' (color code 441) paint with a gorgeous 'Creme Beige'
(trim code 275) leather interior, its original and never used
original 'Dark Brown' German (code 746) folding canvas soft top,
factory alloy wheels, matching factory hard top and only 8K
original and actual miles! Quite simply, if you want to own the
best example of a 560SL anywhere, you've found it here!The car's
factory options include: 5.6 liter OHC V8 engine, automatic
transmission with torque converter, supplemental restraint system,
anti-theft alarm system with radio theft deterrent, power assisted
steering, cruise control, tinted glass, electric window lifts,
electrically heated rear window on hard top, fully independent
suspension, power assisted four wheel disc brakes, anti-lock
braking system, light alloy wheels, limited slip differential,
leather upholstery, adjustable bucket seats and head restraints,
front center folding arm rest, leather covered steering wheel and
gear selector, 'Becker' radio/cassette with automatic antenna,
Aerodynamic Halogen Head amp; Fog lamps and air conditioning with
automatic climate control and central locking.Always garaged and
covered with no accidents and a clean CARFAX report with the
original factory 'Desert Taupe Metallic' color paint still
virtually flawless and with an absolutely beautiful condition
'Creme Beige' leather interior with virtually no signs of any wear
and with the original leather dashboard and the walnut wood veneer
interior still like new (obviously always garaged from the sun and
elements!) The car has its original Dark Brown 'German canvas' soft
top which is still in as new condition and was never used and the
car has it's original and also factory matching hard top with
stand. The car boasts all its original owners manuals, service
booklets, original window sticker and tools. The car was purchased
new on 3/30/1988 and originally serviced under warranty at 'Sears
imported Autos' of Minnetonka in MN and always owned in MN by its
original owners and then 2 collectors until recently acquired by us
this year. We just had the car fully serviced at Malibu Motors, our
Mercedes Benz independent specialists of Santa Monica, CA where the
car received a clean bill of health and whose service manager
stated to us prior to our purchase that the car was definitely one
of the very best examples in the world! The car also boats 4 all
new Pirelli tires and the original spare tire is still in its
compartment in the trunk. The car is a true time capsule and
amazingly still boasts its original dated factory paper anti-freeze
tags placed on the car prior to sale in 1988 to confirm that that
anti-freeze protection had just been added prior to delivery,
something we have never seen survive before in any of the numerous
examples we have previously owned! Every component is still as new
including the first aid kit, factory car cover, factory hard top
cover and stand and the original factory tools! The car drives
exactly like such a well maintained and serviced and fully
documented Mercedes with only 8K original miles should and must be
seen and driven to be truly appreciated! All the options are
working as they should including the A/C. Without a doubt, this is
one of the finest classically beautiful roadster designs built by
Mercedes-Benz, probably the last classically beautiful convertible
series they built and now becoming more desirable and collectible
than ever before - certainly you will look long and hard to find a
finer head-turning example with full documentation and with only 8K
original miles of this penultimate year model in this most striking
and desirable of color combinations available anywhere else!
