happen to be viewing this 1983 GMC C1500 on a website other than
our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen
some of our many photographs of the truck due to third-party
website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 160
photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around video, and

our main website: GKM.com) Offered here is a restored and upgraded
'83 GMC C1500 Cheyenne Super 10 short-bed 2WD pickup in
brown-and-silver over brown. Outside, the professionally applied
brown-and-silver metallic paint was an especially good choice. Many
pickups of this era wore two-tone paint, and this custom color
combination suits the truck's body design. A thin, dark-brown tape
stripe where the two colors meet-and the brown-silver-brown stacked
paint scheme-helps emphasize the horizontal flow of the truck's
now-classic design. Across the entire truck, the paint is uniformly
glossy and free of damage; no scrapes, dings, or dents. (To best
assess the quality of the paint and trim finishes, please be sure
to view the close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying
gallery.) Custom paint touches include the matte-black center of
the added cowl-induction hood and body-color-painted mirror caps.
(The cargo bed includes a black liner.) Cabin glass is lightly
tinted; lighting lenses are clear and undamaged. The most
noticeable appearance upgrade is the custom painting on the front
grille. Badging includes a 5.3LS Vortec graphic on the
cowl-induction hood, Cheyenne Super 10 fender emblems, and GMC
emblem on the brushed-aluminum tailgate trim. All chrome-including
the front grille (with stacked quad headlights), wheel-well trim,
and both front and rear bumpers-is in very well-kept condition with
negligible patina. Brand new custom 5-black-spoke, chrome-center
wheels are mounted with also-new Hankook® Ventus H101
raised-white-letter radial tires. Inside, the brown vinyl
upholstery on the bench seat and door trim both include contrasting
black inserts. There are no rips, tears, or significant signs of
wear. (Please view the close-up photography in the gallery to
assess the condition of the Jimmy's various interior surfaces.) The
same is the case for the brown cabin carpeting (protected by rubber
floor mats). The woodgrain-trimmed dashboard includes all stock
features, Dakota® digital and analog instruments (including
upgraded speedometer and tachometer), and factory controls; the
truck is equipped with air conditioning and power windows (the
latter located on the door panels). The shift lever for the freshly
rebuilt 4160 automatic transmission is mounted on the steering
column. The black, factory, 4-spoke, GMC-branded steering wheel
overlooks the brown, damage-free dashboard. An upgraded audio head
unit is mounted in place of the factory radio. Under the hood, the
engine bay is very clean; the 350 cubic-inch Vortec LS V8 with
Texas Speed® cam displays original condition. All components are
properly mounted without modifications or glitzy add-ons. Viewed
from below, the truck's chassis is exceptionally clean and free of
damage. The dual exhaust is properly routed and shows no damage
from over-aggressive driving styles. The disc-brake calipers and
rotors are visible through the open-wheel design; custom exhaust
headers and full-length custom dual-exhaust system with
electrically operated cut-outs and chrome tips are undercarriage
visual focal points. (To best evaluate the condition of
undercarriage surfaces, please review the gallery photos shot from
below.) The truck's original identification tags remain in place.
