Vehicle Description
This 1977 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne combines classic appeal, long bed
utility, a comfy interior, and a well-built small block V8. So it's
a classic truck with an everyday level of appeal.
This truck knows how to deliver the right kind of style. The red is
a later upgrade that has a deeper tone for added distinction. Today
it strikes the right balance of a good gloss that pops in the
sunshine, and at the same time, it has a driver-ready attitude that
reminds you real pickups are made to be enjoyed. It has a powerful
look with beefy lines, side exhaust tips, and 15-inch polished
wheels. The long bed means you're only making one trip to Home
Depot before a project, and the liner even keeps it nicely
protected. Plus, the good fundamentals like straight body lines,
even gaps, pliable weather-stripping, bright chrome, and overall
clean style really set this one apart.
The gray interior is quite inviting. You can tell by the door
panels, carpeting, dash, and comfy cloth bench seat that there has
been a solid investment here. There are the right classic details,
like the trim on the seat, smooth/bright dash, and factory A/C
controls (it will need components to return the function.) And some
of this stock style also added to the comfortable attitude. You see
it in the power windows, power locks, and Delco AM/FM radio. Plus,
the sliding rear window works with the side vent glass to get the
right breeze flowing through the cab. The stock dual-spoke steering
wheel is on a tilt column, and so that makes the wraparound gauge
panel very engaging.
The engine bay has a fresh and clean look, and in fact, the
consignor states there's only about 1,400 miles on the motor. This
350 cubic-inch small block V8 was built right with an upgraded
camshaft, roller rockers, a serpentine belt system, an aluminum
intake, and topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. And
the ceramic-coated headers add power while contributing to the
rumble of the H-pipe dual exhaust. The TH400 three-speed automatic
transmission is an ideal pairing where it's stout enough to handle
the power while also providing the smooth shifts of a cruiser. This
feeds into a 12-bolt Positraction with 3.73 gears for an all-around
good driver. And newer suspension mounts, newer body mounts, power
steering, and power brakes with front discs add to this solid
cruiser feeling.
Complete with build receipts, this is the classic pickup that has
been given the right investments to deliver a great driver's truck.
