Perhaps no other early 4WD captured the American Spirit as the Ford Bronco. The Ford Bronco was an instant hit when it was introduced in 1966 as a rugged, simple, and economical compact SUV. Known as the 5th Generation of the Bronco, the full-size 1992 to 1996 models were also the most equipped. The redesign of the Bronco for 1992 would include the addition of a number of safety features, including front crumple zones, three-point seatbelts for the rear seat, and center-mounted rear brake light. In 1994, as with the F-150, the Bronco received a standard driver-side airbag and reinforced internal door beams.
