The Jaguar XK150. The successor to the XK120 and XK140. The type name referred to the top speed of the cars in miles per hour. In reality, the 150 did not quite achieve that, but with 135 mph it was one of the fastest production cars at the time. It stopped being a disappointment, because these are beautiful cars! The 150 can be distinguished from its predecessors by its curved windscreen, which instead of a split-window, consists of one piece. The grill in the nose was also made slightly wider and the windscreen was moved slightly backwards, making the nose appear slightly longer.
Our XK150 was fully nut and bolt restored in 2002, so the car is once again in absolute top condition. The interior is a Suffolk & Turley interior from MC Interiors in England. The deep black paint colour complements the dark walnut and white-beige interior with black piping beautifully. The hood is white-beige on the outside as well as on the inside, which gives a spacious feeling when closed.
Apart from the visually beautiful condition, the necessary revisions and modifications were made to make the XK150 even more of a driver's car. The engine (matching numbers) and Getrag five-speed transmission have been completely overhauled. The Getrag gearbox ensures that the Jag also drives very comfortably on the highway. The Jag is also equipped with an Aston Martin/Jaguar power steering, better brakes (four-pot brakes at the front, XJ claws at the rear) and the electrical system has been converted to 12 volts with an alternator.
In short, an ultimate gentleman sports car that is ready for many enjoyable miles!
