Vehicle Description
The 1932 Ford is widely recognized as being the most predominate
hot rod and has been the case since the first days of hot rodding
in the early 30's. In 1931, the Model A was the model Henry Ford
felt most passionate about and although sales were slipping, Mr.
Ford thought this was more caused by those at the dealers and not
due to the product. After time, some of his staff was finally able
to convince him that the market had shifted and demanded more
luxury but the next project hadn't even started and the new market
year was coming quick. The Model A production was stopped in the
United States and Ford started the first designs for their new
model and new engine. Although comfort was the primary reason for
redesign, they also focused on increasing the power and refined the
ride feel which turned out to be an essential reason for their
success. What reached the showrooms was a milestone in a number of
ways. It was faster, more comfortable, more refined, a masterpiece
of industrial design, and yet still affordable.
Sticking to its roots, this fine example of a 1932 Ford Sedan
represents a lot of history and shows as a great example of these
highly respected models before they were ever turned into a
hot-rod. When walking along the outside you find a great deal of
originality. The mechanical side of this vehicle is equally as
impressive as the exterior. The car rides on cream wire wheels that
accent the car very well. The flathead V8 fires right up and sounds
great! The car has spent the last 40 years of its life in a museum
and remains in excellent condition. The car does have a non
conforming vin tag.
