Vehicle Description
That big hood scoop is absolutely out to devour everything. That's
because this 1990 Chevrolet C1500 454 SS Pro Street pickup has the
big block muscle to consume just about every other vehicle out
there. It's a stunning full custom treatment that takes this
blue-collar truck to an entirely new level, and you get to enjoy
the full custom power package from the comfort of an A/C
interior.
The Silverado 454 SS was already quite a mean machine. Chevy gave
it a blackout look right from the factory, and since the low
odometer is believed to represent the full mileage, the stock
midnight pieces continue to show a nice luster. Of course, what
first grabs your attention is the full custom presentation. The big
hood scoop, hood pins, aerodynamic tonneau cover, and big rear
spoiler make this look ready to be a quarter-mile king. And that
goes double for those bright racing wheels with the tubbed rear
end. That makes this preserved classic look more overall like a
track-ready instigator. The real secret to a pro street machine is
that it looks like it has the power for the racetrack, but it also
gives you good modern comforts. And this one strikes that balance
well.
These SS trucks received a distinct Garnet Red interior. It has an
attractive and preserved style everywhere from the plush carpeting
to the texture inserts of the special high-back bucket seats. This
SS is loaded with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, a
tilt steering column, a sliding rear window, and the original
dual-panel AM/FM/cassette stereo.
But, as much as you might think of this as a luxury machine, the
added large tach on the dash reminds you of its true power.
The callouts on the rear fender weren't lying, and the big block
motor is now a 502 cubic-inch unit. More than just added
displacement, this one is enhanced further with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, a Dart intake, and headers. And we bet you
noticed the big blue bottle in the full red interior, it has been
noted that it has never been used. The TH400 three-speed automatic
transmission is one of the stoutest in Chevy's arsenal. This feeds
into a Dana 60 rear end. And the full rear package is done right
with a four-link suspension, adjustable coilovers, and wide Mickey
Thompson tires. So it knows how to get the power to the pavement.
But what's really surprising is the level of drivability in this
total package. It fires, up, idles, and runs with that same kind of
nature you get in a regular 454 SS. And the exhaust note doesn't
make the neighbors wonder if you're on the dragstrip. It's
absolutely powerful but absolutely drivable. You even have power
steering, power brakes, and front discs.
This is a truly amazing truck that provides you with a wolf in
wolf's clothing. This pro street Silverado SS can be yours if you
act quick enough to catch it. Call today!!!
