This 1977 Ford F-250 Highboy has the Ranger trim and it also has a
Flatbed on it. This is a really cool truck that spent its life in
Montana and was owned by a Lumberyard for the majority of its life,
This truck was obviously well cared for and not abused. The body on
this Highboy is really clean and straight. It has been repainted at
some point in its original color of bright yellow. The paint looks
nice and all of the chrome and trim looks to be original and is
also in nice shape. The underside is also solid and we found no
rust issues with this truck besides the normal surface rust you
would find on the bare metal parts underneath. This truck was
undercoated when new and some of that has fallen/flaked off, but it
is nice original paint and primer underneath. At some point a
flatbed was installed. It is a Cadet Model with a built in
gooseneck and a headache rack. The sides are easily removeable
too.
The interior is very nice. It has newer carpet, newer seat cover,
and newer door panels and headliner. The rest is original and very
nice. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are
working. The gauges are all working and the heat, horn, wipers are
all working. This truck does have power steering and power front
disc brakes.
Mechanically this truck is solid and it runs and drives down the
road great! Mechanically everything looks stock and the engine is
6.6L 400 V8 that the last owner said was rebuilt but we did not get
a receipt. The engine runs strong and smooth with no issues or red
flags that we found. It has the c^ Automatic Transmission that
shifts nice. It is mated to the Divorced np205 transfer case and
the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Dana 60 with 4.10
gears and the front axle is a Dana 44 with 4.10 gears. It also has
a nice set of aftermarket aluminum wheels with All Terrain
tires.
