The 1963 Corvette needs no introduction. It is synonomus with any
car collector, especially, when you say, "Split Window". The brain
child of Zora-Arkus Duntov, Bill Mitchell and Larry Shinoda. The
63' was the first year for the "independent suspension," it put
Corvette on the map internationally. It competed head to head with
the Cobra's.
The C2 body style, aka as the, "Mid-years," is one of the most
recognizable car designs and the, "Split Window," is the most
iconic of all of the Corvettes right there with the, "Gullwing
Mercedes." Automobile Magazine did a survey, "100 Coolest Cars."
The C2 was voted #1 of the coolest cars and they said it best,
"Like James Dean, JFK and Jimmy Clark, midyear Corvettes left the
scene at the peak of their game."
This is a rare Factory Tuxedo Black 63 Fuelie coupe. The car was
treated to a no expense spared frame-off restoration. It is painted
with GM Factory Black Lacquer. It is all matching numbers and looks
as good underneath as she does up top. This car is ready for the
judging field. Every part on the car was restored, the fuel
injection unit was rebuilt by John Degregory and is pure
jewelry.
This is a true investment grade 63 Fuelie Coupe.
