GTO Convertible. Powered by a 400 cubic inch V8 engine paired with
a 4-speed manual transmission, this car is finished in Atoll Blue
over a Blue leather interior with a white top. For the 1970 model
year the Pontiac gave the GTO a revamped look. Styling changes
included a total Endura nosepiece with split oval grilles and dual
headlamp housings, creased body sides, different rear-bumper
taillamps, and exhaust pipes that exited through a valance panel
under the rear bumper. Of the 40,149 Pontiac GTO's made for 1970,
only 3,629 of those were the convertible making nice examples like
this one hard to find. Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph
speedometer, analog tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature,
oil pressure, and fuel level. The analog odometer displays just
23,541 miles. The 400ci V8 is equipped with a 4-speed manual
transmission and 3.55 (HO2) differential, and was factory rated at
300 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. This vehicle is in
beautiful restored condition, includes a copy of the original
window sticker, and it is now ready for a summer of driving and
