Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet C10 is a custom pickup with upgraded V8 power,
an overdrive transmission, an extra-sharp two-tone color theme, and
a custom/comfy air-conditioned interior. So we're not sure how much
more of your ultimate wish list we need to check off before you
realize this custom pickup has it all.
Two-tones are always terrific on C10 trucks, but you can instantly
tell this is something extra special. The orange and silver are a
well-done contrast, especially because they are covered under the
same clearcoat and both have a great metallic shine. And of course,
you noticed the triple-tone neon green, metallic gray, and red
pinstriping package with a custom dip pattern on the door that acts
as a divider. It's done on top of the clearcoat for added
distinction. The result is a smooth and uniform style that loves
the sunlight, but it has the right hint of texture so that those
you allow to touch it can feel the multiple layers of artistry.
Crystal clear headlights, deleted vent windows, a soft tonneau
cover, and a smooth tailgate are all part of what makes for a true
custom style. Even the classic details are done with care. You have
bright chrome bumpers and a classic Chevy grille for a proper
vintage truck. Even the wheels look like classic Rally units, but
they are really a modern 20-inch size that do a terrific job of
filling the wheel wells with a more aggressive stance as well as
allowing you to fit better modern tires.
When you open the doors, you can see the full paint theme goes into
the jambs where it's the telltale sign of a thoughtful and
comprehensive build. And in fact, the two-tone style continues
inside with the exterior orange returning on the metal components,
and a silver/gray is on the door panels, dash, and carpeting. A
particularly nice piece of the upgraded gray is the late-model
leather seating. It offers bucket-like bolstering with a folding
middle jump seat. There are nice comfort features like cold-blowing
air conditioning, power windows, power locks, and a Sony
AM/FM/CD/XM stereo with USB input. And of course, there was plenty
invested in making this a better driver's machine, including the
sports steering wheel on a tilt column, Lokar floor shifter, and a
full set of AutoMeter gauges in a sporty carbon fiber panel.
The engine bay has a smooth orange firewall, matte black inner
fenders, and tucked wires make it ready for showcasing. And at the
center is a 350 cubic-inch crate V8 heart. This has been built for
power with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Procomp intake, and a
set of shorty headers feeding a throaty dual exhaust. There are
plenty of show-ready components that also add to its usability,
including Edelbrock aluminum valve covers, a polished March pulley
system, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a polished
power steering pump, and a polished brake booster/master cylinder.
And because it's so thoughtfully built, it's great for all-around
driving thanks to an upgrade to a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission. In fact, this overdrive unit combines with cruise
control to make for a great long-distance cruiser. And power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and the C10's trailing arm
rear suspension make it easy to enjoy at any time.
