Vehicle Description
A completely refreshed Ford came in 1935 with the 4-cylinder no
longer being offered, leaving just the 221 Cubic Inch V8 to power
every Ford car and truck. The body was lowered and new comfort
seating was designed. It was a much more modern car with a pushed
forward grille and integrating fenders into the body. Another major
design advance was integrating the trunk into the body. With many
being pulled apart for steel during war time, others being
hot-rodded or customized, it is something very special when you can
find one with that good ol' Henry steel and that flathead V8 still
in place.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this 1935 Ford Model
48 for your consideration. This example is finished in Gun Metal
Grey that shows very well. The chrome is in excellent condition and
the interior is neat and tidy throughout. Under the hood is highly
restored and according to the owner the engine has been rebuilt 4
years ago. We did notice on our running video that there is small
hairline crack in the head on the passenger side. The car was
repainted in 2009 and given hydraulic brakes. The car rides on wide
whitewalls and comes with its spare and jack as well.
A very unique survivor is a cool piece of pre war history and will
make an excellent conversation starter. It runs and drives well and
will be sure to turn heads.
