Up for your consideration is a 305ci 1986 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic. It has 68,xxx original miles on the odometer (verifiable on the clean title!). This is a remarkable example of what we like to call a “warehouse find”, because we found this in unrestored condition in a warehouse (concrete floors, roof, DRY) where it had sat unregistered for over a decade. A little fuel in the Edelbrock carb and it fired right up even after all that time.
GM wasn’t known for their clear coats in the 80s and as such, the clear is chipping off of this truck. Rust is kept to an extreme minimum due to spending (at least) a third of its life un-driven and entirely out of the elements and it still maintains the factory undercoating on the frame. I cannot stress just how clean and rust free it truly is.
New parts consist of: Gas tank, spark plugs, wires, oil and filter, brakes, newly blasted and powder coated rally wheels, 4 brand new tires, Edelbrock air cleaner, battery and ignition lock cylinder.
The truck starts, runs and drives great, shifts well and is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner immediately. It sports headers and a true dual exhaust and the factory 305ci motor has a nice beefy tone.
The dash air does not blow (at all, not hot or cold) and the power front and rear windows do not roll up or down. Although I haven’t diagnosed the issue my mechanic said it was likely bad switches because power isn’t getting to motors or the HVAC unit.
I am striving to explain as much detail regarding the condition of the truck as humanly possible but the pictures will explain the best. If you have questions please feel free to ask!
