This car has been in our family for decades. My grandfather had it. Then my mother had it, and I've had it for the last 7 years. I still drive it to the airport. It runs great.
We had Charlotte Star Service go over the entire car last Summer, and they replaced the water pump, radiator, hoses, alternator and transmission linkages, so the car is very sound mechanically. Cosmetically, it is a 40 year old car, but it is in decent shape for its age. Plus, there's just something cool about a vintage Mercedes-Benz. Heck, its a stick shift diesel!
I actually love this car, but I also have a Porsche Boxster. I can't keep both, so I'm keeping the Porsche as I'm in engine development and the Boxster has an R&D engine.
I'm hoping this old girl finds a good home.
