For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful Poppy Red paint over classic black vinyl bucket seat interior! Factory colors! Factory C-code 289 V8 car! Great high-quality driver!

BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and solid, and really looks fantastic. Imperfections are at a minimum, as this car has received a restoration. All of the brightwork, emblems, etc. are in great shape. The body is very straight, and shows the quality of the restoration it received. Even the underside is clean!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Painted in its factory correct original Poppy Red paint, this is an eye-catching and attractive color that really gives this Mustang a flashy and unique look. With hints of orange, this is a color that is sure to stand out even against other red Mustangs. The paint has held up great since the restoration, though due to it being an older restoration there are some minor imperfections such as some very light scratches from frequent cleaning and other normal signs of wear. There is a slight run at the bottom of one of the rockers. Last but not least, the white top and white stripe tires really tie it all together!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is what really completes the look on this Mustang! Black interior and red exterior is a classic 1960s combination sure to please any crowd. This is a factory black interior car! The interior, much like the exterior, is in great overall condition showing normal, very minor signs of wear. The interior is well done, and has held up well over the years with the most notable wear being on the steering wheel. The carpet is in good condition, but has faded some with time as seen in the photos.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The 289 runs like a champ, and starts readily with a turn of the key. This 1965 Mustang has that nice, classic Mustang exhaust sound you'd expect! The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and this car is all the fun a good ol' 289 Mustang should be. Stopping power has been increased with the addition of power front disc brakes, an admirable choice anyone looking to actually drive the car should be excited about. Please note that although this car does not have power steering, it is still very easy to negotiate in tight spaces.

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: That classic '60s Mustang look!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Although it gives a true feel for the handling of the car, the lack of power steering can be a turn-off for some buyers.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The horn is not currently operational. Otherwise, this car is turn-key!

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for an affordable, classic Mustang convertible cruiser should consider this car. This is a fantastic example that is ready for a new owner!
