This 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan has a ton of terrific classic
style with plenty of brightwork flair and a proper V8 under the
hood. And you can't help but think of a touch of moonshiner fun
when you have a classic that's as dark as midnight. Especially when
you also have black steel wheels, a dual exhaust, and a
three-on-the-tree transmission. It all makes for a cool classic
with just the right touch of outlaw style.
There is something mystic about this car. The black paint has a
good gloss, but it's not too overdone. That's why it feels like a
moonshine runner. Someone taking extra pride in keeping his car in
top condition, but not trying to be a boulevard kind of flashy that
will get too much attention from Johnny Law. But more than just a
touch of liquor-running fun, what you can see really makes this
attractive is good care on a true classic. The panels look good so
that they complement the gloss of the paint, and the full-length
trim with a dip in the door line is an elegant touch perfect for a
Fairlane. Nice chrome bumpers, full classic Ford badging,
Thunderbird fender callouts, and iconic tailfins are all part of
what makes this an attractive and detailed two-door.
There are plenty more dark tones inside, but now it's joined by a
tasteful red. There's an intricate style on the seats with the red
piping and textured cloth inserts. Overall, it strikes the right
balance of being fresher than the 1950s, but broken-in enough to
make you want to go for a ride. It really gives you a solid vintage
feeling. That's why you grab a thin/grippy steering wheel with
Henry Ford's family crest as the center.
Another great place to see red radiating off of the black is in the
engine bay. Those dark inner walls just seem to funnel your
attention to the bright 292 cubic-inch V8 in the middle. These were
called Thunderbird motors in their time, and so it earns the finned
T-bird valve covers. Plus, it also has a polished Holley
four-barrel carburetor on top for proper power. This is the kind of
classic that wants you to feel the road - right down to the control
of the column-shifter three-speed manual transmission. But it also
likes to be a good driver. That's why you have the right features,
like wide modern touring tires.
This Ford has a touch of moonshiner style, and it's the kind of
strong-running total package that will let you even live out some
of that fun on the streets. So if you're looking for a sleek,
affordable, and distinctive V8 classic, call today!
