Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W-30
Convertible. Finished in Saffron Yellow over a black interior, this
is a well-documented and nicely restored example (and among the
most desirable Oldsmobiles from the heyday of the muscle car era).
Original window sticker and broadcast sheet confirm this to be a
genuine W-30 442 presented in its original colors and trim.
This 442 underwent a frame-off restoration in the early 1990s; it
has been garage kept and driven fewer than 8,000 miles since, and
still looks and feels fresh inside and out with very little
discernible wear. Nice paint over a straight and rust-free body
with nice shut lines and panel gaps. Very nice bumpers, trim, glass
and lenses. Convertible top looks new and operates properly.
Excellent floor pans and rockers.
Interior present nicely with door panels, dash, seat upholstery,
steering wheel, etc. all finished in correct materials. Factory
gauges are working with the exception of the clock. The only
deviation from stock is the addition of a modern stereo to the dash
(the opening was not cut up to make it fit, and the original
factory radio is included).
The engine compartment is tidy and correct and features a 400 cubic
inch V8 with the "Force-Air" W-30 package mated to a
Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission. We believe that only around 30
442 W30 convertibles with an automatic were produced, making this a
very rare example indeed. With 360 horsepower and 440 ft lb of
torque, this big block Olds makes plenty of power, even by modern
standards - it runs (and sounds) great.
Period sales literature, original owner's manual, original window
sticker, original broadcast sheet, protect-o-plate, reproduction
