The Mustang changed the course of auto buying history and started a
Ford cult of fans and hopped-up Mustangs. A lot of changes were in
store for the Mustang after its initial start in 1964 .
The 1968 Mustang was the first year for several changes, most
notably the engine choices, it is also the only year a VIN plate
was put on the passenger side of the dash, and one of only two
years of this body style (67-68).
What makes this 1968 Mustang that we have here at Skyway Classics
special is the brand new 289 cubic inch small block Ford engine
backed by an automatic transmission and even has air
conditioning.
