With the price and prestige earned by the Toyota Land Cruiser, it
was a no-brainer that Lexus would also get their own version. So
this 2002 Lexus LX470 is luxurious and loaded, and at the same
time, it upholds the true go-anywhere nature of its iconic 4x4
sibling.
Lexus fans know this Is the right generation for the gentleman's
LX. The J100 was the perfect mix of old-style 4x4 robustness with
new levels of luxury. And you understand this all by this one's
terrific first impression. For example, the factory Golden Pearl is
a modern and vibrant color. It's believed to be the factory
application, and it looks well-respected on this actual mileage
SUV. That means it has been driven but has stayed far away from a
safari. So the beefy lines and flared fenders are featured with a
nice pearlescent glow. The proper trailer hitch, full luggage rack,
and color-matched running boards are all part of a look that's
ready for an adventure. But overall, you can also see this has a
level of fit and finish that makes it perfect for climbing both a
mountain and a social ladder. That's why the split tailgate is
perfect for sitting on, no matter if it's for enjoying campsite
marshmallows or caviar at the polo grounds.
The beige leather interior is another great reminder of how this
provides upper-class luxury. You have three spacious rows of
seating to accommodate plenty of family and friends, but in a
Lexus, the driver is always the king. You have a bucket seat that's
bolstered for all-day comfort. It's heated and is fully
power-adjustable. The driver's seat has a touch of worn-in style,
but quality leather does it gracefully. This is loaded with the
best features like an AM/FM/CD Mark Levinson premium stereo, power
windows, power locks, alarm, sunroof, cruise control, a navigation
system, and automatic A/C climate control. There are terrific
little details, like how the third row folds against the sides to
give you a flat cargo floor. It's all part of the little things
that make an LX/Land Cruiser more thoughtful and useful.
The mechanical side is where the J100 shows some of the best
advantages. This was the second-generation LX, but this was the
first one that came with V8 power. It has the low-end torque you
want on a true off-roader. But this fuel-injected V8 is also a DOHC
multi-valve setup that is peppy for around-town driving, too. It's
a robust total package that's ready for serious off-road work with
a two-speed 4x4 transfer case and locking center differential. So
it's great for getting out to your country home or towing a boat.
But when it comes time for on-road use, this one is also a star.
The J100 introduced the more comfortable independent front end.
Plus, a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, power
steering, and four-wheel disc brakes are always handy.
This is the best way to get anywhere/everywhere in comfort and
style. Don't let something this attractive and capable slip away,
call today!
