For Sale: 1991 GMC Jimmy in Lavergne, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

This 1991 GMC Jimmy 4x4 is an instant classic that has no full-size equal on today's market. And because this is the final year of its generation, it comes with great modern features like fuel injection and an overdrive transmission. But it never loses the removable fiberglass roof that has made these sought-after icons.

The big wheels and tall stance is the definition of outdoor elegance on the big GMC's squared-off bodywork. Given the capabilities of these trucks, it wouldn't be surprising if this one lived most of its life off-road, but the way the panels look on this really tells you it has seen far less action. The clean Summit White was given a respray later in life. It has a nice gloss that looks good against the chrome bumpers and rally wheels. And we like the detail, like the deeply tinted windows and the unique front end that was only part of these later years. Nothing here gets so fancy that you'll forget that the "U" in SUV stands for Utility. The wide towing mirrors and a proper trailer hitch are perfect for everything from getting to work with your trailer to launching your boat.

The tan interior looks distinctive against the exterior white, and as you look through the full package, you're going to discover terrific factory features and upgrades. You get high-back front bucket seats with a center console in-between. This has handy features like a tilt steering column, a power rear window, cruise control, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo featuring Bluetooth and powered subwoofers. There are even provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) The floor mats look cool with a touch of diamond plate style that goes well with the rugged diamond plating on the rear panels. Best of all, on the right sunny day, you can remove a few bolts and have a complete open rear section for a very cool convertible pickup.

Under the hood is the hardy 305 cubic-inch V8 with desirable factory fuel injection. Plus, the electronic locking front hubs and two-speed transfer case remind you that it's a true off-road machine. You even have upgraded shocks and BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As. But as much as this all sounds like a great way to drive through the dirt, the power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a Positraction rear end make this a pleasant 4x4 for all occasions. In fact, the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive was rebuilt only about 300 miles ago.

The sale comes complete with maintenance records. 1991 was the final year of this generation, and so it was one of the few times you had the desirable removable rear roof combined with practical features like a fuel-injected V8. That's what makes this Jimmy 4x4 irresistible. Call today!!!
