This 1978 Chevrolet K20 4x4 is the long bed classic pickup with a
powerfully sleek look, a ton of function, big block V8 power, and a
comfy loaded A/C interior. And when you see how this one mixes
vintage style with all the right investments, it's a full package
that's hard to resist.
The long bed, full liner paint, dual fuel tanks, towing mirrors,
and trailer hitch all continue this feeling of a classic that wants
to earn its keep. And features like the 14-bolt rear and 8-lug
remind you this is an extra-duty three-quarter-ton truck. But while
this one can go to work, that's not the first impression it gives.
The paint has a similar tone to the factory Cordova brown but there
has been a big investment in a glossy application to give this
pickup more luster and metallic than the factory ever did. This was
done to really showcase the clean classic sheet metal. There's
plenty more shine coming from the upgraded billet grille, polished
wheels, and excellent chrome bumpers. And features like the cowl
hood and full tubular step rails give this big block pickup an
extra dose attitude. It's this ideal mix of style and substance
that will have you taking up the steep spot at the car show that no
one else has dared park there.
The interior has a very cool setup that gives you plenty of vintage
style, but with everything feeling exceptionally fresh and
thoughtful. It starts with the bench seat that has a comfy tan
velour, and the trim around it coordinated nicely with the exterior
brown. The door panels and dash also follow a similar color theme.
There are nice details, like plush carpeting, rugged floor mats,
billet dash trim, and a sliding rear window. It's such a detailed
package that even the under-dash lights still greet you when you
open the door. A truck like this is made to be enjoyed to the
fullest. So the wraparound dash panel gives you easy access to
upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo and R134a air conditioning
system. And the full gauge package even has a handy tach.
The engine bay has the same fresh and clean style that has made you
love the rest of this truck. But it's more than just glossy and
bright components that give this one its full appeal. After all,
this is a big truck powered by a big block. The 454 cubic-inch V8
is fully built with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Merlin
high-rise intake, and headers feeding into the dual exhaust. As you
look underneath, you're going to see the full extent of the truck's
investment with a fresh undercarriage. You also have a lifted
stance, newer shocks, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As that go
great with the two-speed 4x4 transfer case. So you know this one is
ready for the campsite of the boat ramp. But you don't need
anything extra or even leave the pavement to enjoy this restored
pickup. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, a TH400
three-speed automatic transmission make this a solid all-around
driver.
Complete with owner's manual, this is an interesting, versatile,
powerful, and loaded classic 4x4. So you know you want to get your
hands on it right now. Call today!!!
