Vehicle Description
The Ford Mustang which is also synonyms with as one of the most
recognizable cars in the world has been continuously built since
1964. The "Early" Mustangs as they are called because when they
came out in production timeline are actually all titled 1965 cars.
The early cars or the "1964 " cars had some distinctions and that
was because the Mustang went from design to production in just 18
months which is absolutely insane. Initially slated to sell just
about 100,000 units years, the 1965 Mustang had the most successful
launch since the Model A and would sell its One Millionth Mustang
was sold just two-years in! This particular early car was purchased
by the seller in 2016 and has been used as a Summer Northern
Michigan cruiser. He purchased the car the way you see it with the
exception of a few more miles. Unfortunatly we do not know the in
depth history of the car or the restoration but it appears after
going through it that just about everything has been touched on the
car including everything on the underside as most suspension,
brakes, fittings, clamps and exhaust all appear to be relatively
new. This is a factory "D" code 289 car and the fender VIN is
matching to the VIN tag. This is a desirable 4-speed Convertible
with a nice clean paint job with a couple minor blemishes as the
result of using the car. The tires are great as are the brakes. The
vintage style radio works, the top and steering are manual and
everything else operates as it should. This is a nice starting and
driving car with no smoke or leaks.
