There are just not too many 1981 Honda Civic DX like this around
anymore, and so it's instantly attractive. And when you see that
this has all the right features, including the larger engine,
five-speed, and even A/C, it proves that this is a fun classic
offered for a value price.
This car has the look of care, and that's because of the background
we were told. The consignor bought it from a buddy that served in
Vietnam with him, and so it has remained in his family for a while
and shows the right love/investments along the way. More than just
a nice backstory, this one remains desirable for its extras, like
the upgraded LED driving lights and later application of metallic
blue paint. There are even cool touches of sporty attitude with the
heat extractors in the hood, front spoiler, flared fenders, and
black wheels that go well with the bumpers and grille. It's an
attractive style on what is absolutely a driver-quality package.
That means it's not trying to be a concours car, but it's something
you can drive to a Radwood event even if it's a few hours away.
The blue interior is distinctly attractive against the blue
exterior. Part of being a driver-level car means not everything is
perfect. So you may want to invest in a new dash or other details.
But what a driver's car really means is that the investments are
there to be quite engaging from day one. So you have good-looking
newer upholstery, including on the comfortable high-back front
bucket seats. The upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input means the
best in driving music, and there's even cold-blowing air
conditioning.
Part of why these Civics have such a great following today is the
driving experience. The CVCC motor was known for being both
exceptionally hardy and quite lively. And this 1500cc was the
larger of the two available. You get to take full control of it
with the five-speed manual transmission. The way this full package
fires up, runs, and shifts, all have the solid feeling of proper
care. The power brakes, front discs, and nice details like a newer
muffler, and this classic remains a great driver. And these almost
feel like the modern version of the original Mini Cooper because
you have a great nimble road feel from direct steering and a fully
independent suspension.
Fun, distinct, affordable, and even a great story - this Civic
represents a cool classic no one has seen in a while, and because
it's a blast to drive, you'll love reminding everyone about it
everywhere. Call today!!!
