We all like to save the best for last, including Chevrolet. This
1996 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition represents the end of the
C4s with a limited run of specially painted cars that are loaded
with the best features from the evolution of the series. And since
it's so distinct, it's quite nice to find a low-mileage example
that has been given lifelong care to have an excellent overall
presentation.
This car was significant from day one, but right now, it's even
more noteworthy. This Collector Edition has finally crossed the
quarter-century threshold. That means it's officially eligible for
collector car plates and benefits in many states that offer it. So
it's officially being recognized as a classic, and this example has
been treated that way averaging only about 1,700 miles annually.
The Sebring Silver paint is believed to be the original
application. It was exclusive to this limited edition and
represents the car correctly. This special silver has seen
exceptional care so that the fiberglass body shines more like
precious metal. And the crisp lines of the C4's body make this
almost like a knife's edge cutting through the air. The 17-inch
wheels are perfectly paired with a color-coordinated style and
unique Collector Edition badging. So take extra time to look over
the full car because it's impressive, right down to the pliable
weather-stripping.
This coupe was optioned with the roof package, and that means your
choice between the translucent targa roof or a color-matched panel.
But what we all like the best is no roof at all. The black interior
looks terrific against the exterior silver. It's not only because
they are a great color combo, but also because the interior has
been just as respected as the exterior. The leather sports seats
are comfortable and supportive and have Collector Edition
embroidered into the headrests. It's loaded with the best features
like power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, six-way power
seats, cruise control, dual airbags, a Bose sound system, and
cold-blowing air conditioning. The leather-wrapped steering wheel
feels good in your hands and is mounted on a tilt column. In front
of it is a dash with digital readouts in the center flanked by a
tachometer on the left and sweep gauges for critical engine
functions on the right. So you'll happily add miles to the low
odometer.
Under the hood you will find a completely stock-style engine bay
that has been kept clean and detailed. Nestled down inside it is
the formidable LT1 engine that pumps out 300 horsepower and 335
foot-pounds of torque. Not only is it ready for display, but the
fuel-injected powerhouse is also ready for the road. After all, the
fully independent sports suspension, power steering, four-speed
automatic transmission, and four-wheel power disc brakes w/ABS make
for a great driver for near or far.
The sale comes complete with the window sticker, owner's manual
packet, an extra set of keys, and a car cover so you can continue
to keep it looking this good. It's time to take home this Collector
Edition coupe kept in true collectible care. Call today!!!
