Gorgeous 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BT7 Roadster
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this outstanding 1962 Austin
Healey 3000 MKII BT7 2+2 2 Door Convertible with green and white
exterior paint, and incredible tan leather interior. You'll find an
immaculate 2.9L straight-six engine under the hood with dual SU
carburetors and a 4-speed manual transmission w/ mechanical
overdrive. This highly desirable British classic is also equipped
with power 4-wheel disc brakes, chrome wire wheels, a German cloth
top and an aftermarket Kenwood sound system with Bluetooth and an
integrated alarm system.
This 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BT7 Convertible has also been
fully restored back to factory perfection within the last 1,135
miles and it is in like-new condition throughout.
Fully Restored in $120k Frame-Off Restoration Effort
The current owner of this 1962 Austin Healey BT7 Convertible
acquired it in 2004 and opted for a frame-off, nut & bolt
restoration by British Car Specialists in Stockton, California. The
project took six years total from start to completion and this
highly desired classic received a new drivetrain, suspension,
braking system, and more during that time period. The exterior
paint has been treated with Ceramic Surface Protection which is 2-3
times more protective than the typical clear coats, making it one
of the hardest paint coating on the market today. Chrome is
excellent; wheels and accessories were also restored or replaced as
was all of the interior surfaces and amenities. This example is
very close to flawless in person as well since it's been cared for
at the highest possible levels.
Additionally, this 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BT7 Convertible
performs better than new on the open road with quick acceleration,
pinpoint handling and simply a great overall feel. The total
restoration effort exceeded $105,000 in parts and labor, and we can
tell you that not a single corner was cut during that process. From
the undercarriage to the engine bay, to the tonneau top, this
example looks, feels and even smells like it recently left the
factory showroom. There aren't enough words to describe how
incredible this example is- it's ready for a private collection or
a British car show circuit right away.
Excellent High-End Example Ready for the British Circuit
Overall, this 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BT7 2+2 Roadster is one
of the most pristine examples we've ever seen at this price point
since virtually everything on this convertible is new. These types
of opportunities do not surface very often so don't wait around on
this one- it will find a new home quickly at the current asking
price. For more information about this vehicle, visit our
