Vehicle Description
The distinctive paint theme is just the beginning of the custom
work on this 1983 Chevrolet El Camino restomod. The full custom A/C
interior, upgraded drivetrain, and powerful fuel-injected stroker
V8 are all part of an awesome total package.
This El Camino has a ton of custom attitude while also still
respecting its Chevy history. For example, the trim tag tells us
this one was born a two-tone blue. Of course, the factory never
gave you anything as wild as this. The dark blue looks almost black
in some lights, but when you take it out in the sunlight it
releases a nice metallic to show off added depth. And the lighter
blue is a great harmonizing color against all that darkness. The
two-tone is intertwined nicely using the El Camino's factory trim
as a dividing line. Plus, you have the addition of the SS-style
stripes as part of the performance attitude. More of the sporty
feeling is in custom pieces like the cowl hood, polished 17-inch
American Racing rims, tinted windows, and wide dual exhaust tips.
And you'll spot thoughtfully coordinated details everywhere from
the blue-dot tail lights to the bed's liner paint done in blue.
Overall, there's a nice balance to this El Camino. It's a true
custom cruiser with a terrific look from every angle. But this is
also not one of those cars that will only get trailered to the
World of Wheels. As you look through the full package, you'll see
added power and comfort that's great for a true driver. So you want
the kind of condition that looks awesome out where you're not going
to be afraid to drive it, and at the same time, looks awesome
cruising all-day Sunday.
The blue/purple continues inside. And while this is quite bold,
you'll also appreciate the blend of performance and comfort. The
seat is now recovered with a newer cloth with Chevy bowtie stitched
on. You can choose to seat three across or fold down the armrest
for individual comfort for two. The tweed cloth here coordinates
with the door panels, dash, center console, and headliner for a
uniform feeling that is pure custom car cool. And the dark blue
carpeting with flame-kissed floor mats shows an extra degree of
thoughtfulness in this Chevy. There are nice luxury items like the
AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette and cold-blowing air conditioning.
Plus, this is an upgraded driver with the chrome sports steering
wheel on a tilt column, B&M floor shifter, Bosch tach mounted
on the column, and auxiliary gauge trio. It's a reminder that
there's something special under the hood even before you turn the
key and hear it roar.
The clean inner fenders of the engine bay funnel your attention to
the polished components of the powerful heart in the middle. The
consignor claims this is a 383 stroker V8 motor, and this small
block is certainly made for power. It has been built with aluminum
heads, an Edelbrock Performer high rise intake, and powder-coated
headers. It's then topped with a FiTech electronic fuel injection
system for added power and consistency. You'll also spot good
supporting components, like March serpentine belt system, MSD
ignition, and aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. This is a
powerful package, and so you have upgrades like the stout TH400
three-speed automatic transmission and a Perfect Launch rear diff
cover. There's also power steering, power brakes w/discs up front,
and modern sport tires.
