Vehicle Description
This 1964 Ford F-100 has a great classic style, right down to the
correct-style V8 under the hood. And we even have a copy of the
original dealer invoice on this southern pickup. It makes for a
cool classic, and so the investments in this one have just been
about keeping truly vintage and a true cruiser.
Red paint may have a timeless appeal, but there's an even deeper
attraction when it was freshly applied within about the last year.
It makes for a deep and glossy finish that loves to let sunlight
roll smoothly over its flared wheel arches and a hint of power
bulge in the hood. So the fresh luster really reminds you why we
love these fourth-generation F-series trucks. The paint is not the
only reason why this is an appealing classic. The doors shut solid,
the body is straight, and the bumpers and trim are shining. The bed
is also smoothly finished in red to allow the truck to radiate from
all angles. You will spot some details like the later model
polished allows and bright dual exhaust tips. They don't detract
from the vintage style, but they do add to the overall cruiser
feeling that makes a vintage truck more fun to drive.
The red theme continues inside. And you can also tell they have
made solid investments here, like with the recently re-covered
plush seat, matching door panels, and smooth dash. You'll like the
classic details like the factory gauges and thin three-spoke
steering wheel. Plus, we have the dealer invoice, and it's cool to
see what was optional in 1964, including the AM radio. And it's
even cooler to still have it on as a display piece in this pickup
nearly 60 years later.
Under the hood is Ford's 292 cubic-inch Y-block motor. This was the
last year they were available, and the invoice does tell us this
was a V8 truck from day one. So while it's hard to confirm
originality, it's also something we know you're going to love
showcasing. That's also true because this looks great with the
exterior-matching red on the air grabber and valve covers radiating
from the tidy black engine bay. This V8 fires up nicely, and the
column-shifted three-speed manual transmission gives you the
classic feeling. But there are also the right upgrades. The
glasspack muffler gives the motor a nice tune. And the wide modern
tires, upgraded front disc brakes, and nice investment in a clean
suspension make this a more confident driver.
Not only do you get the dealer invoice copy but also the owner's
manual. You're looking at the ideal vintage setup that really wants
to go for a Sunday drive. Call today!!!
