This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Tribute has a mean black look and a
proper small block V8 rumble. But more than just intimidation,
there is an underlyingnice quality of knowing it's coming off of
nearly 30 years of line-term ownership.
This coupe has been under the same ownership since 1994, and
there's an overall quality that shows it has been treated with
care. The sheet metal remains crisp, doors close with authority,
and the brightwork is complete. The black paint was an upgrade in
2007, and because of proper care, it retains a nice gloss and shine
while still making sure you have an overall driver-ready classic.
After all, the reason to have a Z/28 tribute like this is that you
want to have a fun car that's easy to take out on a whim. It loves
to have an aggressive Z-car look with the wide chin spoiler,
three-piece rear spoiler, cowl hood attachment, and bright dual
exhaust tips. And the racing stripes are bold not only because they
are contrasting white, but they are also cleanly pained on instead
of decals. It's part of the extra thoughtfulness that goes into a
car like this.
Just like the exterior, the interior is dark, intimidating, and
also has the right amount of vintage quality. The seats, carpeting,
door panels, headliner, and dash have a deep/dark appearance that
reinforces the feeling of a well-respected classic. It's a coupe
that you'll want to enjoy showing off and driving, and so they made
it more comfortable for modern times with the well-integrated
upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo. Of course, what you'll really
love about this setup is how it directly speaks to your
enthusiast's heart. That means high-back bucket seats up front, a
grippy NK4 sports steering wheel, and a horseshoe shifter in the
center console. And you have a full gauge package, including the
auxiliary ones integrated into the console and the Sun Super Tach
prominently mounted on the steering column.
The year-correct 350 cubic-inch motor has the tidy look of power as
the bold block, ribbed valve covers, and polished twin intake air
grabber all radiate within the engine bay. This V8 has been
upgraded with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer
RPM intake, HEI ignition, and the stainless long tube headers
feeding the Flowmaster mufflers of the dual exhaust. The
three-speed transmission feeds into a 3.23 Positraction rear end
for a confident power delivery. And the same well-balanced sport
and comfort experience is seen in features like power brakes with
discs up front, power steering, and modern BF Goodrich Traction
T/As.
This coupe is the ideal balance of a mean look and nice long-term
care. It makes for the kind of icon that you can enjoy to the
fullest. Call today!!!
