Vehicle Description
Upgraded V8 power, classic two-tone style, 4x4 versatility, and a
loaded A/C interior make this 1984 Ford F-150 both an attractive
and affordable way to enjoy the classic truck lifestyle.
The red and white two-tone has the right vintage style. It's not
perfect, but it seems right for this truck. After all, this is from
the era when the family pickup went to work, and so this one has
earned its keep on occasion. But the way the two-tone is
intricately put together and still retains a nice gloss also
reminds you that dad wanted a little style on the weekends, too. As
you look over the whole truck, you can see a cool mix of vintage
and new. So you get classic elements like the chrome front bumper
and premium full-length trim. This is joined by upgrades like the
billet step rear bumper, dual exhaust tips, and a nice set of
15-inch ProComp alloys. But more than just look good, this pickup
can still earn its keep. Features like the brush guard, bed
protected with liner paint, tow mirrors, and proper trailer hitch
are the kind of things that make this a fine friend for the chores,
too.
Just like the exterior, the interior does a great job of blending
new and vintage - and it's all there to keep you comfortable. For
example, the dash has a stock look, but the features are upgraded.
It includes an AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth, a newer smooth dash
cap, an auxiliary gauge trio, and the factory air conditioning now
blows cold with modern R134a refrigerant. There are nice updates on
classic truck features, like a deep red velour on the classic bench
seat. And you not only have sliding rear windows but all the glass
is tinted, too.
Under the hood is Ford's mighty 302 cubic-inch V8. We all know how
much these love upgrades, and so it was given a full Edelbrock
suite with the AVS2 four-barrel carburetor, intake, air grabber,
and valve covers. It also exhales with added power and authority as
headers feed the dual exhaust. Since this is an upgraded machine,
it's unknown if the odometer reflects the total actual mileage.
You've got a truck with the power to do everything from make Home
Depot runs to tow the trailer for a camping weekend. And don't
forget that the proper two-speed 4x4 transfer case means this
powerful classic goes further than even some new trucks. Add in the
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power
brakes with discs up front, and this is a true go-anywhere
Ford.
