Lot #539-1959 Ford Thunderbird-One of the famous "Square Bird's"
and is all original with a great story. Purchased new by Buddy's
uncle Joe Young, who had a Ford dealership in Burnsville, NC. It
was pampered and only occasionally driven on special trips. It was
always garaged, of course. It has now only traveled 28,792 miles
and is totally original including the Raven Black factory paint.
Car has a 300HP 352 V-8, factory air conditioning, automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, and a power driver's
seat. Buddy and friends including Gary Barnett, took the car to the
AACA show in Charlotte, NC in April, 2012 and it won its National
HPOF (Historical Preservation-original features) Award and that
plaque will go to the purchaser of this piece of Ford history. Car
has the original paperwork and has not been out of the Bennett
family ever!! Car runs and drives.
