We just received this very nice 56 Crown Victoria. This car is not original, but has just the right improvements to make it a great driver/cruiser.

Believe it or not, there were 1,408,478 Fords produced in 1956. Of those million plus cars, only 9209 were Crown Victoria 2 door models. The only lower production model was the Crown Victoria Skyliner at only 603.
You will see if you decode the trim tag, that this was originally a 292 car with a 4V carb. It was Raven Black with white and black interior. It more than likely had a 2 speed Ford-O-Matic transmission.
The odometer actually reads 42059. According to the note we found, the mileage was 17,200 when the new engine and transmission were installed. The current owner has only had the car since 2017, so the previous owner installed the new engine.
Since the new aftermarket steering wheel was installed, the horn was not working so there has been a button installed under the dash.
The interior chrome is amazing on this scar. It is actually very nice on the entire car.
The upholstery was totally redone and is a nicely modified version of the original.
The original radio is not working, so the owner installed an updated Pioneer stereo in the glove box.
You can see behind the master cylinder, instead of a power booster, there are hoses for the hydro boost brakes. This runs off of the power steering pump. It is a very effective brake system.
The engine compartment is detailed nicely. Unfortunately, we have no receipts for the work done on the car, but we have the original owners manual with a note written that the new 302 engine and the AOD transmission were installed in 2013 when the odometer read 17,200 miles.
We have no information on the build of this car, but looking at the pan, this appears to be the Ford AOD/FIOD transmission. That is the automatic overdrive with fluid oil filter transmission. These transmission were introduced in 1980.
The only flaw we found was this soft dent in the front quarter. It's more of a slight pushed in spot and could probably be taken out by a dent expert. The reflection makes it look worse than it is.
This car is going to make someone a great cruiser, show car or even a daily driver.
