Pontiac Historical documented GTO born a 4-speed with a/c! Power
steering and power disc brakes are much appreciated too. Nicely
restored southern car.
EXTERIOR: The rubber bumper fits great and is not damaged. The body
is clean and straight. It has the dual scooped hood and a rear
spoiler. Repainted it's original Mayfair Maize color, it has a
glossy finish. The paint is not cracked on the rubber bumper, the
rear bumper is rechromed. The emblems, mirror and handles were
replaced. Grills are good originals. The correct lug nuts, center
caps and trim rings were replaced on the Rally ll wheels. Tires
INTERIOR: It was gutted and lined with sound deadener. The seats
were reupholstered and recushioned. The headliner, carpet and
package tray was replaced. Heater core was replaced. Nice looking
set of custom VHX gauges including a tachometer. New instrument
bezel. New digital retro stereo with auxiliary plugs and 6x9
speakers. It has a new center console with a Hurst 4-speed sticking
out of it. It has a set of 4 GTO mats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 400 motor looks stick, has an upgraded Holley
carb. The air conditioning system was completely restored in 2019.
It also features power steering and power brakes. Rebuilt wiper
motor, new alternator. Everything looks proper: wires and hoses are
run neatly, has fan shroud and new cap, squirters are hooked up,
has a battery disconnect.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Real nice looking. It's been boxed and carpeted,
the carpet has bound edges.
UNDERSIDE: Overall very respectable. It's cleaned and painted satin
black. The frame is solid. Floors and rockers are clean. There was
some repair in the floor pans in front, the rest is smooth metal.
Looking up at the motor it is fresh. The starter and fuel pump look
new. The Muncie 4-speed and linkage also look fresh. It is dated
properly for this car. It has it's original 10 bolt posi rear. The
exhaust is solid. The fuel system was replaced including the tank.
It has disc brakes in front, the e-brake assembly is hooked up. The
front end isn't brand new but has been rebuilt at some point.
Shocks were replaced.
A 4-speed with a/c is very desirable and fairly rare to find one
born with both. This is a great driver, cruise night quality
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
